Digital Illustration
Notes:
Ava Schweigert: Digital Fashion Illustration exploring various prints, patterns, and textures. Students practiced drawing several clothing items of various fabrics and textures, before finalizing their final looks for their individualized, stylized figures using Medibang.
Rosila Elebyjian: Digital Fashion Illustration on creating a cohesive fashion collection based on theme and color story. This student illustration was inspired by 1970’s mod fashion with a modern twist, and uses their own stylized drawn figures using Procreate.
Ellie Cromling: Typographic self-portrait
Helen Shen: “Female Warriors” - I started the Chinese women series for my Instagram art blog @redestinomulieres (where I upload illustrations of women with great achievements) with the Military women using Mulan, a Chinese female warrior wide-known to the Western cultures, as a hook. Each woman dresses up in historical armors as a way to introduce Traditional Chinese armory and fashion to my audience.

Digital Fine Art
Notes:
Elaina Murdock: She used two references for the digital painting. She used the app Procreate and her Apple pencil and started with a blank white page so it was like drawing on paper but just on her iPad. She used brushes that came with the app that had different looks but mostly the round paint brush and a bit of the hair texture brush for details. She used the smudge tool to blend colors. Everything was put on freehand
Lucas Mckenzie: He used many images to merge together as a remodel of the US and Russia’s race to space. It is a futurized vision.
